Tara Culp's journey into the world of yoga started in 1996 at the renowned Jivamukti Yoga studio in vibrant New York City. In 1999, she received her first certification under the guidance of esteemed director Larry Shultz in San Francisco. Following the arrival of her daughter in 2001, Tara dedicated herself to furthering her knowledge in the realm of prenatal and postpartum yoga. She studied under Jyohti Larson from the Integral Yoga Institute and Mia Borgatta, the director of Lila Yoga Dharma & Wellness, both in the bustling metropolis of NYC.

In 2009 Tara went back to NYC and  achieved certification to teach Conquering Lion Yoga a method combining traditional Hatha Yoga and Tibetan Buddhist Meditation and principles with esteemed teachers Kimberley Theresa Lafferty, Maria Cutrona and Kelly Morris.

Tara's deepest desire is for all her students to experience the profound healing benefits of yoga and to discover the boundless freedom and inner peace that reside within their own bodies, minds, and souls.

Film Maker

Tara Culp is also an actress and filmmaker. She began her theatre career as an actress in NYC in the 90’s then found her love for film when she worked with legendary film director Brian De Palma as his personal assistant for four years. She has continued to produce, cast and act in many independent films with notable filmmakers.
